Call of the Month

Patrollers came across a juvenile who had fallen out of a tree in front of 2641 Glenmawr. At first, the juvenile denied any medical attention, but changed his mind a short time later after not being able to get to his feet. At that time the patrollers contacted the Columbus Fire Department. CFD Medic 13 arrived on the scene and began to treat the juvenile. It was determined that the juvenile had sustained a fractured arm and he was transported to Nationwide Children’s Hospital.

Patrollers came across an unresponsive male in front of 1510 N. High; patrollers contacted CPD via non-emergency 645-4545. While awaiting emergency services, the patrollers advised the male began vomiting while laying on his back. In an effort to keep the male safe from choking, the patrollers put on medical safety gloves and rolled the individual onto his side. Patrollers advised that CPD Cars 41, 9010 S-4, 9171, and 40 arrived on scene. Patrollers advised that CFD Engine 7 and Medic 7 arrived on scene. CFD Medic 7 transported the male to Wexner Medical Center.

Patrollers came across an unresponsive male sitting inside a parked vehicle in front of 1302 Indianola. Patrollers tapped on the vehicle’s window and attempted to wake the male. All attempts failed; CPD was notified of the situation via 645-4545. Patrollers advised that CFD Engine 7 arrived on the scene. The male awoke, turned off his vehicle, and handed his keys to responding fire fighters. Patrollers advised that CPD Cars 42 and 40 have arrived on the scene, and Engine 7 is clearing the scene. CPD Car 40 handcuffed the male and placed him the rear of his cruiser. Responding officers searched the inside of the male’s vehicle. After a sobriety test was conducted by responding officers, the male was transported to a nearby hotel and his vehicle was impounded.

Patroller was approached by a Columbus Park and Recreation Department employee who advised of a female whose vehicle had been broken into near the Lou Berliner Athletic Complex. The victim advised that she had already contacted CPD approximately an hour previous. A short time later, CPD Car 115 responded to the scene and took a theft report.

6-24-23

Patroller reported an auto accident between two vehicles in the parking lot. The individuals exchanged information and will be filing a report online. The patroller cleared the scene.
