Call of the Month

Patrollers reported a vehicle chasing a pedestrian in the area of Dakota and Broad. The pedestrian yelled out to the patrollers that the vehicle had already struck him once. CPD was notified of the situation. CPD Cars K9-7, and 83 responded to the scene. CPD Car 83 stopped the vehicle and issued a citation. All units cleared the scene.

9-16-22

Patrollers were approached by a pedestrian in front of 1011 W. Broad, who advised of an individual sleeping on a sidewalk in the area. The pedestrian advised that the individual had been living on this section of sidewalk for several days. The patrollers attempted to awake the individual. The individual was unresponsive. CPD was notified of the situation via 645-4545. Columbus Fire Department Medic 890 responded to the scene, awoke the individual. The individual refused any medical attention. No further action could be taken.

9-29-22

Patrollers were in the area of Hawkes & Capital, when they were approached by a motorist who advised that her vehicle had been the victim of a hit and run. The patrollers contacted CPD and advised them of the situation. The patrollers took note of the suspect vehicle’s description and last known direction of travel. CPD Car 84 responded to the scene and took an auto accident report.
