Community Crime Patrol Observe to Protect

Patrollers reported an open door on a structure at 1616 Summit; CPD was notified of the situation via 645-4545. CPD Cars 231, 9041, 41, and 44 responded to the scene. Car 44 contacted the owner of the property. The owner advised they had left the door open accidently. The door was secured and all units involved cleared the scene.

Patrollers were approached by a male in the area of 8th and High, who requested an ambulance. The patrollers contacted emergency services via 911. CPD Cars R-41 and 40 responded to the scene. CPD Car R-41 transported the male to the Ohio State University Hospital.

Patrollers came across two motorists in the area of 13th and Pearl who just been involved in an auto accident. Neither party had any injuries and decided to leave the area without exchanging insurance information. No further action could be taken.

Call of the Month

Patrollers reported a female walking down the middle of the street in the area of Cypress and Broad. The patrollers contacted CPD and advised them that the female was now lying in the middle of the roadway. While awaiting the arrival of police, the female got to her feet and walked across Yale, still in the middle of the roadway. CPD Cars S-19, 190, 150, and 9102 responded to the scene. The female was issued a citation by responding officers.
