Patrollers reported a suspicious male in front of 149 E. 12th Avenue trying to gain entry into a residence. The patrollers noticed that the male had scrapes on his face and asked if he needed any assistance; the male denied any medical attention. The residents did not answer the door and turned off lights. The patrollers spoke with a neighbor and asked if they recognized the male trying to gain entry. The neighbor advised that as far as they knew only females lived in the residence. CPD was notified of the situation via 645-4545. The male began to leave the area. The male stopped at the rear of 165 E. 12th Avenue. The CPD dispatcher advised that cruisers were heading to the scene. The male then went to the rear of 157 E. 12th Avenue and began knocking on windows. CPD Cars 20, 42, and 31 arrived on scene. Responding officers spoke with the residents at 156 E. 12th Avenue who advised they knew the male and that he was welcome to spend the night at their residence. No further action was needed. All units cleared the scene.
