CPD was notified of the situation via 645-4545. CPD Walkie Crew responded to the scene and the situation calmed. No further action was needed.

Patrollers conducted a well-being check on a female in a wheelchair in the area of 18th and High. The female was coughing loudly and was in and out of a deep sleep. The female was awoken and she advised she was fine. A special improvement district security guard advised that the female was a criminal trespasser. The female was asked to move on and she complied. No further action was taken.

Patrollers came across a large group of individuals involved in a verbal altercation in front of 71 Chittenden. The patrollers advised that all involved have calmed and are now leaving the area. No further action was needed.

Patrollers assisted a female in the area of 878 Sullivant. The female advised that she had been the victim of domestic violence earlier in the evening and was looking for a place to stay. The patrollers made attempts to contact the Huckleberry House. The patrollers were unable to make contact. Patrollers provided directions to the nearest shelter.

Call of the Month

Patrollers were approached by a pedestrian in the area of Glenwood and Broad. The pedestrian advised that his friend was having a possible drug overdose up near the train tracks. The patrollers located the male and contacted The Columbus Fire Department. Columbus Police Department Car S-94 responded to the scene and administered Narcan. CPD Cars S-19, 9100 and CFD Medic 890 responded to the scene. The male stopped having overdose symptons and all units cleared the scene.

8-16-19

Patrollers were approached by a merchant in front of 1043 W. Broad who requested that the patrollers escort a male causing a disturbance off their property. The patrollers advised that the male was rolling around and the parking lot. CPD was notified of the situation via 645-4545. The patrollers advised that the male moved to the area of Capital and Dakota. CPD Cars 81, 84 and Columbus Fire Department Medic 890 responded to the scene. Responding officers conducted a field interview on the male. The male was transported to Mount Carmel West Hospital. Responding officer further advised that the male had active warrants and would be arrested after clearing medical attention.

Patrollers came across a male calling for help in front of 907 W. Broad. CPD was notified via 645-4545. CPD Cars 84 and 83 responded to the scene. The male declined assistance. No further action was taken.

While talking with the resident, the patrollers advised that the group came back together at Southeast-Lions Park; CPD was notified of the situation via 645-4545. Patrollers advised that the size of the group has grown to approximately 20 individuals. The patrollers advised that they overheard members of the group making threatening comments. The patrollers heard a gunshot approximately three blocks east of their location; patrollers recontacted CPD via 645-4545. CPD cars responded to the scene. All individuals involved left the area. No further action was taken. Later in the evening, the patrollers were in front of 258 Barthman and met with CPD Car 113. Car 113 showed them a handgun that was taken from the group and advised that no arrests were made.

Patrollers were approached by an employee of Food Mart in front of 3351 E. Main. The employee advised of a suspicious female harassing customers and refusing to leave store property. The patrollers advised that the female left the area without any further incident. No further action was needed.

8-29-19

Patrollers were in the area of Byron and E. Main when they heard the sounds of a possible auto accident. The patrollers investigated and located the scene of the accident. Both drivers declined any medical attention. The drivers involved exchanged insurance information. No further action was taken.
