Patrollers were approached by an individual in the area of 18th and High who had his gloves stolen. The individual pointed out the suspect and the patrollers advised CPD of the situation via 645-4545. CPD advised they were busy but would send an officer to the scene as soon as possible. The patrollers advised that the suspect began yelling threats at them, dropped the stolen item, and entered a residence on Tuller. The patrollers took the stolen gloves back to the victim. The victim had left the area. The gloves were left with the victim’s employer. No further action could be taken.

Patrollers reported the odor of gas in the rear of 133 Chittenden; CPD was notified of the situation via 645-4545. Columbus Fire Department Engines 7 and 3 responded to the scene. The fire department notified Columbia Gas of the situation.

Patrollers reported an audible alarm in front of 230 N. Central; CPD was notified of the situation via 645-4545. CPD Car 9081 responded to the scene and searched the property. No one was located on the premises. No further action was taken.

Patrollers reported a male causing a disturbance in the area of Town and Glenwood. The patrollers advised that the male was hiding in trees and yelling at them. CPD was notified of the situation via 645-4545. CPD Cars 84 and 80 responded to the area and talked with the male. The male was transported to Net Care.

Patrollers reported an open door on a vacant structure at 924 Sullivant; CPD was notified of the situation via 645-4545. CPD Car 9080 responded to the scene and searched the premises. No one was located on the property. No further action was taken.

Patrollers reported hearing a woman scream for help in front of 89 Dana; CPD was notified of the situation via 645-4545. CPD Car 9082 responded to the scene and talked with the female. It was determined that no action could be taken. CPD advised they will keep an eye on the residence.

Patrollers received information about a disturbance from a motorist in the area of Walmar and Huy. The motorist advised that a female was pulled into a car while screaming in front of an address on Medina. The motorist advised that CPD had already been notified. The patrollers investigated the situation and located the vehicle. The patrollers advised CPD of the situation via 645-4545. The CPD radio operator advised that an officer had already talked with the individuals. No further action was taken.

Call of the Month

Patrollers reported a possibly intoxicated male stumbling in the area of Capital and Parsons. The patrollers monitored the individual and reported that the male collapsed. The Columbus Fire Department was notified of the situation. CFD Medics 8 and 1 arrived on the scene. Medic 8 transported the male to Grant Hospital.
