Community Crime Patrol Observe to Protect

Patrollers were approached by a pedestrian in the area of 19th and Summit who requested a CPD officer. The pedestrian advised that he had just been assaulted by an acquaintance, and that acquaintance had stolen his keys. CPD Cars 9040 and 41 responded to the scene and assisted the pedestrian. No further action was taken.

Call of the Month

Patrollers witnessed a possibly intoxicated female steal a donation collection from a business in the area of Glenwood and Sullivant; CPD was notified of the situation via 645-4545. Patrollers reported that the female was causing a disturbance. CPD Wagon 88, Car 81, Car 80, and 9102 responded to the scene. Responding officers searched the female. No money was found to be in her possession. Responding officers ran a warrant check on the female. The female had an active warrant and was placed under arrest.

Patrollers reported an open structure with interior lights on at 1211 Sullivant. CPD was notified of the situation via 645-4545. CPD Cars 88 and 80 responded to the scene and searched the property. Responding officers turned off the lights and advised that no one was located on the premises. No further action was taken.

Patrollers reported a suspicious male exiting a structure in front of 204 N. Central. CPD was notified of the situation via 645-4545. CPD Cars 81, 88 and 84 responded to the scene. Responding officers talked with the male and searched the property that he was seen exiting. No stolen items were found on the male and nothing illegal was located within the property. No further action was taken.

Patrollers reported an open structure at 884 Bellows. CPD was notified of the situation via 645-4545. CPD Cars S-8, 80 and R-81 responded to the scene. Responding officers made contact with the homeowner. No criminal activity was detected. No action was needed.

Patrollers reported a sleeping male in the area of Columbus and High. The patrollers awoke the male and he left the area. No further action was taken.

Patrollers reported an abandoned structure with an open door at 3420 Walmar. The patrollers advised that a vehicle was parked in the rear of the structure. CPD was notified of the situation via 645-4545. CPD Car 28 responded to the scene and searched the property. No one was located on the premises. No further action was taken.
