Patrollers reported an auto accident which caused a stranded motorist in front of 1610 N. Fourth.  CPD was notified of the situation via 645-4545.  The CPD dispatcher advised that it would be more advisable to contact a tow truck, due to a long wait time for an officer.  The patrollers advised the motorist of the situation.  No further action was taken.

1-14-14

Patrollers witnessed a vehicle hit a bicyclist in the area of Lane and High.  CPD was notified of the situation via 645-4545.  CPD Cars 44, 34, Columbus Fire Department Engine 13 and Medic 13 responded to the scene.  The victim was treated by Medic 13 and the driver was issued a citation.

1-16-14

Patrollers were approached by a male in the area of 9th and High, who requested the services of Net Care.  Attempts to reach Net Care failed.  CPD was notified of the situation via 645-4545.  CPD Car 42 responded to the scene and transported the male to Net Care.  No further action was taken.

Patrollers reported an open abandoned structure with people inside at 755 Campbell.  CPD was notified of the situation via 645-4545.  CPD Cars 82, 9080, and 9081 responded to the scene and removed everyone from inside.  No further action was taken.

1-20-14

Patrollers located a handgun in the rear of 37 Stevens.  CPD was notified of the situation via 645-4545.  CPD Car 9082 responded to the scene and took the handgun.

Call of the Month

Patrollers reported a robbery attempt in progress in the area of Parsons and Sheldon.  CPD was notified of the situation via 645-4545.  CPD Csrs 134, 133, 131 and 130-R responded to the scene.  The patrollers witnessed the suspect heading south away from the scene.  The CPD Helicopter responded to the area.  CPD Cars 133 and 131 stopped the suspect and began a field interview in the area of Southwood and Parsons.  The victim was taken to the suspect and positively identified him.  CPD detectives were called to the scene.  The patrollers provided their contact information and cleared the scene.  The male was ultimately arrested for disorderly conduct.
