Patrollers were in the area of Sixth and Ninth Avenues when they witnessed a male fire a gun into the air and enter a vehicle. CPD was notified of the situation via 645-4545. CPD Cars 41, CRT-4, R-20, 42, 52, and 48 responded to the scene. Car CRT-4 detained the male and arrested him for an active warrant.

Patrollers reported three males drinking alcohol and possibly smoking marijuana in Westgate Park. CPD was notified of the situation via 645-4545. CPD Car 198 responded to the scene, conducted a field interview, confiscated the contraband, and advised them to leave the park. The individuals complied. No further action was taken.
Patrollers were approached by a female in the area of Hawkes and Broad who advised that her daughter had run away from home. The patrollers located the daughter a short way down the road. The daughter advised that she wanted to commit suicide. CPD was notified of the situation. CPD Cars 80, 81, 83, and 9082 responded to the scene. Responding officers spoke with the mother and daughter. The daughter returned to her home. No further action was needed.
Patrollers reported a house fire at 81 Meek; CPD was notified of the situation via 911. Columbus Fire Department Engine 10, Ladder 10, Engine 17, Ladder 17 and CPD Car 9080 responded to the scene. CFD extinguished the fire.
Patrollers reported a fight involving two males in the area of Town and Yale. CPD Car 81 was passing by and was flagged down by the patrollers. CPD Car 80 also responded to the scene. Responding officers attempted to have the victim press charges. The victim refused. No further action could be taken.
Patrollers were approached by three males in the area of Broad and Hayden who provided information about a known missing individual. The males advised that they knew the whereabouts of a female with mental health issues. CPD was notified of the situation via 645-4545. CPD Cars R-81 and 83 responded to the scene. The officers spoke with the males and obtained the information from the males. The patrollers cleared the scene.
Patrollers were approached by a male in the area of Town and Gift, who advised that his wallet had just been stolen. CPD was notified of the situation. Patrollers took note of the suspect’s description and last known direction of travel. CPD Car 82, 80, and 9082 responded to the area and searched for the suspect. A CPD officer located the male’s wallet. The suspect was never located.
Patrollers reported a hit-and-skip auto accident involving an injury in the area of Broad and Wisconsin. The Columbus Fire Department was notified of the situation. CFD Medic 10, EMS 15, Ladder 10, CPD Cars 88 and 80 responded to the scene. Medic 10 transported the victim to Children’s Hospital. CPD Car 88 took an hit-and-skip auto accident report.

Patrollers reported a suspicious male and female in Schiller Park. The patrollers reported that each individual was pushing a full shopping cart. CPD was notified of the situation. CPD Car 113 responded to the scene and spoke with the individuals. No further action was taken.
