Community Crime Patrol Observe to Protect

Patrollers reported a fight in progress in the area of 13th and High. CPD Car 9041 was notified of the situation. CPD Car 9040 and S-64 responded to the scene. Responding officers diffused the situation. No further action was needed.

Patrollers reported a suspicious individual sleeping in the driver’s seat of a vehicle in the area of 18th and Waldeck. CPD Car 9040 was notified, responded, and conducted a field interview. No further action was taken.

Patrollers reported an audible alarm coming from 117 E. Patterson; CPD was notified of the situation. The alarm stopped before the arrival of police. CPD Car 34 arrived on the scene and searched the premises. No one was located on the property. No further action was taken.

Patrollers were approached by a male requesting the services of Net Care in the area of Bellows and Avondale. CPD Cars 81 and 83 responded to the scene. Car 81 transported the male to Net Care.

Call of the Month

Patrollers were in the area of Glenwood and Broad when they reported a house fire. The patrollers advised the Columbus Fire Department. CFD Ladder 10, Engine 10, Medic 10, Engine 17, Heavy Rescue 17, Medic 12, Fire Safety Officer 2, Battalion Chief 5, and Ladder 1 responded to the scene. The fire was extinguished by responding Columbus Fire Department Units.

Patrollers were approached by a female in the area of Dakota and Broad, who had injured her head and was requesting medical attention. The Columbus Fire Department was contacted. CFD Medic X7 responded to the scene and transported the female to Mount Carmel West Hospital.

Patrollers reported two suspicious individuals attempting to open several doors in front of 221 E. Gates. CPD was notified via 645-4545. Before the arrival of CPD Car 112, the individuals left the area. The description and last known direction of travel was passed onto Car 112.
