Call of the Month
Patrollers were approached by a resident in front of an address on Loring who advised that he returned home to find his front door open. CPD was notified via 645-4545. CPD Cars R-9061 and 181 responded to the scene. Responding officers searched the premises. No one was located inside the property. Once cleared to do so, the resident returned inside his home. He reported that his laptop computer and cell phone had been stolen. A theft report was taken by responding officers.
Patrollers reported the odor of natural gas in front of 4160 Maize; Columbia Gas was notified of the situation. Columbus Fire Department Ladder 13, Ladder 24, Engine 15, Engine 24, Heavy Rescue 16, and Medic 24 responded to the scene. Columbia Gas officials arrived on scene and advised that the gas had to be shut off and the regulator needed replaced.
