Patrollers reported a naked male sleeping in front of 233 Chittenden. CPD was notified via 645-4545. The OSU/CPD joint patrol officers responded to the scene, and advised the individual to clothe himself and leave the area. The individual complied and no further action was taken.

Patrollers reported a car fire in the area of Avondale and Rich. The patrollers were approached by a witness who advised that two males set the fire and ran out of the area northbound. The patrollers advised the Columbus Fire Department and CPD about the situation. CFD Engine 10, CPD Cars 9082, and S-8 responded to the scene. Engine 10 extinguished the car fire. The patrollers advised the responding officers of the suspects’ descriptions and last known direction of travel.

5-21-09

Patrollers reported a suspicious vehicle without license plates and parked in front of a vacant structure at 77 N. Wheatland. CPD was notified via 645-4545. CPD Car 191 responded to the scene and ran a check on the vehicle’s identification number. Car 191 advised that the vehicle was valid and blank; however, the vehicle was impounded on suspicion of being stolen.

Patrollers reported an auto accident involving two vehicles in the area of Richardson and Broad. CPD was notified via 645-4545. Columbus Fire Department Engine 17 and Medic 17 responded to the scene. CPD Cars 9102, 9081, and 192 responded to the scene as well.Medic 17 advised that there were no major injuries. CPD Car 192 took an accident report. The patrollers cleared the scene.
