Patrollers received information about drug activity taking place at 2744 Sullivant from two individuals. CPD was contacted via 645-4545. CPD Cars 199, 197, and S63 responded to the scene and confronted an individual who was in possession of possible illegal narcotics.The individual was permitted to leave the scene; however, the possible narcotics were sent to the lab for positive identification. Charges are pending upon results of lab testing.
Patrollers were approached by an individual in the area of Midland and Broad, who had a laceration on his head and was requesting medical attention. CPD Car 9080 was advised. Medic 17 and CPD Car 190 responded to the scene. CPD Car 190 took a police report in regards to the incident.
Patrollers were approached by a female at 260 S. Princeton, who advised the patrollers that she was recently assaulted by another female. CPD was notified of the situation via 645-4545. CPD Cars 9081 and 83 responded to the scene. Responding officers took an assault report. No further action was taken.
Patrollers reported two suspicious individuals inside a scrap yard in the area of Anson and Gay. The patrollers reported that both individuals entered a vehicle and left the area at a high rate of speed. CPD was notified via 645-4545. The patrollers advised the last known direction of travel of the vehicle. CPD Car 9081 responded to the scene and inspected the area. Car 9081 was able to contact the owner of the scrap yard and a report was taken.

The CCP Trail & Parks Safety Program patrols the Columbus Recreation and Parks’ multi-use trail along the Olentangy River, as well as several of the City’s parks. Patrollers are out on the trail on mountain bikes five days a week (weather permitting) in order to provide an added measure of safety to bikers, walkers, joggers, etc., and to assist with any problems trail users might experience, such as flat tires, injuries, etc. During the month of August, CCP patrollers provided 256 patrol hours on the trails and in the parks; year-to-date total: 1,228.0.
