Patrollers were approached by a male at 248 E. 11th Avenue who wanted to file an assault report. CPD was notified via 645-4545. CPD Car 9041 and Columbus Fire Department Medic 7 responded to the scene. An assault report was taken and the victim was taken to OSU Medical Center.

Call of the Month

Patrollers reported an accident involving two vehicles in the area of 13th and Summit. CPD was notified of the situation via 645-4545. CPD Car 41 and S-4 responded to the scene.One of the individuals was arrested for driving under the influence. The suspect was transported to the Franklin County Correctional Facility.

What do these mean?

The CCP Trail & Parks Safety Program patrols the Metro Parks Greenway trails along the Olentangy River, as well as the Alum Creek Trail. Patrollers are out on the trail on mountain bikes five days a week (weather permitting) in order to provide an added measure of safety to bikers, walkers, joggers, etc., and to assist with any problems trail users might experience, such as flat tires, injuries, etc. During the month of August, CCP patrollers provided 195.75 patrol hours on the trails.
