Patrollers were approached by a possibly intoxicated individual in the area of 9th and Wall, who requested that the patrollers stay with him while he awaited the arrival of a taxi. A short time later, the individual ran from the area and began destroying a fence in the area. The patrollers notified CPD of the situation via 645-4545. The individual then ran at one of the patrollers in an attempt to assault him. CPD Cars 12, R-11, 10 and S-4 responded to the scene. The individual was placed under arrest for menacing.

Patrollers were approached by two individuals who had just been involved in a car accident in the area of Frambes and Pearl. CPD Car 42 was advised of the situation. Car 42 responded to the scene and took an accident report.

2-20-08

Patrollers reported an auto accident involving three vehicles in the area of Indianola and Chittenden. CPD Car 41 was notified of the situation. CPD Cars 40, 41, R-41, the CPD helicopter, Medic 7 and CFD Engine 7 responded to the scene. Medic 7 transported one of the drivers to the OSU Medical Center. Another of the drivers was cited for failure to control.

Patrollers reported an individual attempting to steal alcohol from a business on Broad. CPD Car 8L1 was notified of the situation. The suspect left the business and ran from the area. The patrollers witnessed the individual enter an address on Rodgers. CPD Cars 80 and 81 responded to the scene. Car 80 arrested the suspect for theft and menacing.

Patrollers were approached by a resident in the area of Grubb and Broad, who advised the patrollers of a loud noise coming from another residence in the area. CPD Car 8L1 was notified and CPD Cars S-8, 80, and 82 responded to the scene. Responding officers cited the resident with a noise ordinance violation.

Patrollers reported a suspicious vehicle with a damaged steering column in front of an address on Hague. CPD was notified via 645-4545. A CPD radio technician ran a check on the vehicle’s license plate and reported that the vehicle had improper registration. CPD Car 192 was notified and responded to the scene. Car 192 impounded the vehicle under suspicion of being stolen.

Patrollers reported a suspicious vehicle with a damaged steering column and locks in front of an address on Midland. CPD was notified via 645-4545. A CPD radio technician ran a check on the vehicle’s license plate and reported that the vehicle had improper registration. CPD Car 190 was notified and responded to the scene. Car 190 issued a ticket for the violation, and advised that if the vehicle was still there in a couple of days, it will be impounded.
