Congratulations to Patroller Gregory Smith, Patrol Supervisor Andrew Allison and former Site Supervisor Joren Byers on receiving the Meritorious Public Service Award from the Columbus Division of Police for their actions to stop a sexual assault on Sullivant Avenue in October 2009.

The Meritorious Public Service Award is presented to citizens who contribute to the success of a police program in the area of traffic safety, crime prevention or community relations. The trio was honored with a framed certificate during a ceremony at the Columbus Police Academy on Friday, May 28, 2010.
