Community Crime Patrol Observe to Protect

Patrollers reported a trash fire in the area of 12th and Pearl. CPD was notified of the situation via 645-4545. CPD Car S-23 and Columbus Fire Department Engine 7 responded to the scene. CFD Engine 7 extinguished the fire.

Patrollers reported a female walking into traffic in front of 308 S. Central. The patrollers advised that the female was yelling at passersby. CPD Car 88 responded to the scene and talked with the female. Car 88 diffused the situation. No further action was taken.

Patrollers were approached by a resident who provided information about a suspicious vehicle in front of 772 Bellows. The patrollers contacted CPD via 645-4545. CPD Car 81 responded to the scene and ran a check on the vehicle’s license plate. Car 81 advised that the vehicle was legally registered. No further action was taken.

Patrollers reported that a male had just collapsed in the area of Green and Sullivant. CPD was notified of the situation via 645-4545. Columbus Fire Department Medic 10 responded to the scene and provided medical care to the male.

Patrollers reported a possibly intoxicated individual refusing to leave private property in front of 928 W. Rich. CPD was notified of the situation via 645-4545. CPD Cars 84 and R-81 responded to the scene. Responding officers spoke with the male and advised him to leave the property. The male complied. No further action was needed.

Call of the Month

Patrollers located a juvenile runaway in front of 894 W. Broad. CPD had already been contacted. CPD Car R-9101 responded to the scene. Car R-9101 arrived on the scene and searched the juvenile. An air soft gun was located on the juvenile. The juvenile was returned to his residence in Reynoldsburg.

Patrollers were approached by a male complaining of stomach pain in the area of High and Skidmore. The Columbus Fire Department was notified of the situation. CFD Medic 2 responded to the scene. CFD Medic 2 transported the male to Grant Hospital.

Patrollers were approached by a resident in front of 981 Hidden Acres who advised of a suspicious vehicle that has been parked in the same location for approximately 5 months. CPD was notified of the situation via 645-4545. CPD Wagon 28 responded to the scene and ran a check on the vehicle’s license plate. The vehicle was not reported stolen; however, CPD Wagon 28 cited the vehicle for expired tags.
