Patrollers reported a suspicious male individual yelling aggressively and swinging a bat at passersby in the area of Broad and Stevens. CPD was notified of the situation via 645-4545. The patrollers further advised that the male was drinking an alcoholic beverage. CPD Car 82 responded to the scene, conducted a field interview, and took the bat from the male. Car 82 advised the male to leave the area, and the male complied. No further action was taken.

Patrollers reported a male throwing rocks at passing vehicles in the area of Sullivant and Central. CPD was notified of the situation. CPD Car 9082 responded to the area. Before the arrival of police, the male entered a business in the area. CPD Cars 9082, 80 and 88 responded on the scene. Responding officers advised the male to leave the area. The male complied. No further action was taken.

Patrollers reported an open structure with front door damage in the area of Gift and Rich. CPD was notified of the situation via 645-4545. CPD Car 84, 93, and 83 responded to the scene. Responding officer searched the structure. No one was located on the property. No further action was taken.

Patrollers reported an open structure at 244 Dakota. CPD was notified of the situation via 645-4545. The patrollers reported hearing movement from inside the structure. CPD Cars 9080 and 80 responded to the scene. Responding officers searched the property and no one was located on the premises.

Call of the Month

Patrollers reported a suspicious male loitering and attempting to open garages in the area of Yale and Campbell. CPD Car 9082 was notified and responded. Car 9082 conducted a field interview. After a warrant check was conducted, it was determined that the male had active warrants for numerous violations. The male was placed under arrest at that time.

Patrollers were approached by a possibly intoxicated male who requested the services of Net Care. While awaiting Net Care, the male become aggressive towards the patrollers. CPD was notified of the situation. CPD Car 81 responded to the area and conducted a warrant check on the male. No warrants were found. No further action was taken.

Patrollers reported a suspicious male loitering and attempting to open several garages in the area of Sullivant and Brehl. CPD was notified of the situation via 645-4545. CPD Car 80 responded to the area. Car 80 conducted a warrant check on the male and no warrants were found. No further action was taken.

Patrollers reported a suspicious vehicle in front of 892 Scott. The patrollers advised that the vehicle had a damaged ignition. CPD was notified of the situation via 645-4545. CPD Car 84 responded to the scene. Car 84 contacted a tow truck. The vehicle was towed out of the area on suspicion of being stolen.

Patrollers reported a suspicious individual attempting to enter an abandoned structure in the area of Westgate and Sullivant. CPD was notified of the situation via 645-4545. CPD Car 80 responded to the area. Car 80 approached the male and conducted a field interview. No warrants were found. No further action was taken.

Patrollers reported a fight involving approximately five individuals in front of 322 S. Princeton. CPD was notified of the situation. CPD Cars 82, 80, and 84 responded to the scene. Responding officers diffused the situation. No further action was needed.

Patrollers reported a suspicious individual sitting inside a U-Haul truck in the area of Broad and Central. CPD was notified of the situation. CPD Wagon 158 responded to the scene and conducted a field interview with the individual. Wagon 158 advised that the individual is homeless, and has permission from the owner of the U-Haul lot to sleep inside the trucks after hours. No further action was taken.

Patrollers reported a suspicious individual attempting to gain entry on parked vehicles in front of 1519 W. Broad. CPD was notified of the situation via 645-4545. CPD Wagon 88 responded to the scene and conducted a field interview on the individual. The individual had no active warrants and was told by Wagon 88 to leave the area. The individual complied. No further action was taken.

Patrollers reported an auto accident involving two vehicles in the area of Town and Souder. CPD was notified of the situation. CPD Cars R-80 and 81 responded to the scene. A citation was issued to the at-fault driver.
