Call of the Month

Patrollers were in the area of Woodbury and Sullivant when they noticed heavy amounts of smoke billowing from a nearby alley. The patrollers investigated the smoke and discovered a structure on fire. The Columbus Fire Department was notified. CFD Engine 17, 10, and 12 responded to the scene. CFD Medic 10, Franklin Township Engine 193, and Battalion Chief 5 arrived on scene. CPD Car 190 and 194 responded to the scene. Responding units extinguished the fire.

Call of the Month

Patrollers reported a fight involving two males in front of 31 Wisconsin. The patrollers reported that one of the males cut the other male’s face with a knife. CPD Cars 9192, 9080, 9082, 82, 83, Columbus Fire Department Medics 15, 1, and Grandview Heights Medic 51 responded to the scene. CPD Car 9192 apprehended the suspect. CFD Medic 1 treated the victim.

5-27-13

Patrollers reported an audible alarm on a structure in the rear of 73 Rodgers. CPD was notified of the situation via 645-4545. CPD Car 81 responded to the scene. The owner of the property arrived on the scene and talked with Car 81. No further action was taken.

Patrollers reported a male breaking a car window in the area of State and Brehl. CPD was notified via 645-4545. Before the arrival of police, the male fled the scene. CPD Cars S-8, S-19, and 83 responded to the scene. The patrollers cleared the scene. No further action was taken.

The patrollers investigated the area and reported that a male matching the given description was banging his head against a window pane. The male sustained a bloody lip and the patrollers asked if he would like medical attention. The male refused any medical attention, but CPD Car 9182 was made aware of the situation. CPD Cars 9182 and 12 arrived on the scene. Responding officers advised the male to leave the area. The male complied. All units began clearing the scene.

A short time late, the patrollers witnessed the male pull a board off a structure and begin swinging it around in front of 2122 Fitzroy. CPD Car 9182 was contacted and advised of the situation. CPD Cars 9182, 9181, walkie-crew 18, and S-18 responded to the scene. The individual was arrested for disorderly conduct.
