Call of the Month

Patrollers were in front of 94 Chittenden when they witnessed an accident involving a car and a pedestrian. CPD was notified of the situation via 911. CPD Cars 34, 43, and 48 responded to the scene. Columbus Fire Department Engine 7 and Medic 7 responded to the scene. The pedestrian was taken to the Ohio State University Hospital. The patrollers exchanged information about the accident with all responding emergency units.

Patrollers reported a possibly intoxicated bicyclist swerving through traffic in the area of 12th and High. CPD Car 9041 was notified. Car 9041 advised that he was busy on another call and could not respond to the area. CPD was notified via 645-4545. The individual’s last known direction of travel and description was given. No further action was taken.

Patrollers reported an argument between two individuals in the area of Neil and King. The patrollers were advised that CPD was already notified by a resident. CPD Cars 41 and 43 arrived on the scene, and advised the patrollers that they could leave the area. The patrollers left the area as instructed. No further action was taken.

Patrollers were in the area of Belle and Town when they reported two suspicious individuals running from a suspicious vehicle. Patrollers witnessed the individuals place an unidentified item into the trunk, and then proceed to run into a nearby tree line. The individuals then returned to the vehicle, left the area and proceeded to the area of Town and Washington. CPD was notified by the patrollers via 645-4545. CPD Cars 162 and K9-2 responded to the scene. Responding officers talked with the individuals. No illegal activity was detected. No further action was taken.

Patrollers reported a building with a broken window and an audible alarm at 1204 W. Broad. CPD Car 9041 was notified of the situation. CPD Car 9041 advised the patrollers that CPD Cars 84 and 9080 were on route to their location. CPD Cars 84 and 9080 respond to the scene, search the premises, and advised that they found no one on the property.
