Patrollers were approached by a merchant in front of 1712 N. High who advised that he wanted an individual off business property. The patrollers contacted CPD via 645-4545. CPD Cars 9041, 40, 41 and 9040 responded to the scene. Responding officers advised the male to leave the property and not to return. The individual complied and no further action was needed.

Call of the Month

Patrollers came across a male lying on the ground in front of 1716 N. High. The patrollers were unable to get a response from the male. Patrollers contacted emergency services via 911. Columbus Fire Department Medic 7 and, Engine 7 responded to the scene. The sister of the unresponsive male advised that an employee of a business at 1716 N. High had pushed him to the ground. CPD Car 40 and the CPD DUI Wagon responded to the scene and talked with the unresponsive male’s sister. Medic 7 transported the male to The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center. No further action was taken.

Patrollers reported an unconscious individual in front of 130 E. 11th Avenue. CPD was notified via 645-4545. CPD Cars 44 and 40 responded to the scene. Columbus Fire Department Medic 7 responded to the scene. The individual was awakened by Medic 7. Responding CPD officers contacted a friend of the individual. The friend responded to the scene and took the individual out of the area. No further action was taken.

Patrollers were approached by a male in the area of Princeton and Broad who advised that his cell phone was stolen. The male pointed out an individual who he believed had stolen the phone. The patrollers contacted CPD via 645-4545 and advised them of the situation. The patrollers maintained visual contact on the suspect. The male was in the area of Glenwood and Broad when CPD Car 83 responded to the scene. Car 83 approached the male and found the cell phone in his possession. The phone was returned to the victim, who advised that he did not want to press charges. No further action was taken.

8-15-12

Patrollers reported an individual inside an abandoned structure at 161 N. Oakley. CPD Car 9082 was notified of the situation. Before the arrival of police, the individual inside the structure, exited, and identified himself as a property manager. The police were re-contacted and cancelled. No further action was taken.

Patrollers reported two suspicious individuals looking inside a residence in the area of City Park and Deshler. CPD was notified via 645-4545. The individuals left the area. CPD was advised of their description and last known direction of travel.

Patrollers reported two possibly intoxicated males in Schiller Park refusing to leave. CPD was notified. Car 112 responded to the scene and advised the males to leave the park. The individuals complied. No further action was needed.

Mount Carmel hospital security was notified, responded, and took a report. No further action was taken.

Patrollers assisted CPD Car 9082 in searching for a wanted individual in the area of Dakota and Broad. The patrollers took note of the individual’s description.
