Call of the Month

Patrollers reported a suspicious individual in the area of 13th and High, selling alcoholic beverages out of his backpack. CPD Car 9041 was notified of the situation. Before the arrival of CPD, a bartender in the area began arguing with the male. The bartender was claiming that the suspicious male had stolen the alcohol from his business. CPD Car 41 responded to the scene and took the suspicious male into custody. CPD Cars 9041 and 42 responded to the scene as well. The male was placed under arrest for theft and other charges.

Patrollers reported a suspicious vehicle with no license plates parked in the area of 36 Avondale. The patrollers reported that the keys were in the ignition and the driver’s side door was locked. CPD was notified of the situation via 645-4545. CPD Cars 9081 and 81 responded to the scene. Car 81 ran a check on the vehicle’s identification number. Car 81 advised that the vehicle was legally registered. The officers also advised that the keys were stuck in the ignition. No further action was taken.

Patrollers reported a were advised by a merchant in the area of Dakota and Broad to watch a male who had just stolen merchandise. The patrollers monitored the individual until the arrival of CPD. CPD Cars 83 and 81 approached the individual in front of 223 Hawkes. No stolen merchandise was found on the individual. No further action was taken.

Patrollers reported that the males knocked the side view mirror off a vehicle in front of 174 Mithoff. CPD was notified via 645-4545. CPD Cars 9110, K-9, 152, and 132 responded to the scene. A property destruction report was taken by Car 9110.

Patrollers located a lost dog in the area of Sixth and Woodrow. The patrollers were able to reunite the dog with the rightful owner.

Patrollers assisted CPD Car 114 in monitoring a suspicious vehicle in the area of Schiller Park.

Patrollers reported a suspicious male loitering on a construction site in the area of Dutch and Jackson. The patrollers reported that the male left the area. No further action was needed.
