Call of the Month

Patrollers reported an unresponsive male in the driver’s seat of a parked vehicle in the area of 13th and Indianola. After attempts to awake the male failed, CPD was notified of the situation via 645-4545. Columbus Fire Department Medic 7, OSU-CPD Joint Patrol 1, CPD Car 9020, and CPD Car S-64 responded the scene. Car 9020 administered a field sobriety test. The suspect refused to take a breathalyser test. The suspect was placed under arrest for operating a vehicle while intoxicated. CPD Car 9020 transported the male to the Franklin County Correctional Facility.

The responding officers conducted background checks on all three individuals. Two of the three were cleared to leave the area. One of the individuals was found to have an active warrant and was placed under arrest.
