The primary goal of this program is to educate drivers not to leave valuables in plain sight in their vehicles.

3-06-09

The CCP radio operator was approached by an assault victim in front of CCP’s main office located at 248 E. 11th Avenue. The radio operatorth contacted CPD via 645-4545. Two CPD officers responded to the scene and an assault was report was taken. Friends of the victim responded to the scene and saw him safely home. No further action was taken.

3-20-09

Patrollers reported a dumpster fire in the area of 11th and Neil. Theth Columbus Fire Department was contacted. CFD Engine 7 responded to the scene and extinguished the flames. No further action was needed.

Patrollers reported a possibly intoxicated individual acting belligerently towards motorists in the area of Broad and Interstate 315. While the patrollers were advising CPD Car 9081 of the situation, the individual threatened the patrollers. CPD Cars S-8, 9081, and 9080 responded to the scene. Car 9081 did a background check on the individual and reported that he had no warrants. Car 9081 transported the individual to the engagement center.
