From December 1, 2012 to December 31, 2012, the patrollers from Community Crime Patrol, Inc. provided just under 800 patrol hours and reported 3 significant incidents. Year-to-date totals for patrol hours and significant incidents are 9,226.25 and 43, respectively.
The patrollers and staff of Community Crime Patrol were pleased to participate in the “burglary special” project during OSU’s winter break, December 7-31, 2012, to help combat the historic rise in property crimes during school breaks. Patrollers logged 722.50 hours during this time period and aided CPD officers in following 4 suspicious individuals.
Call of the Month
Patrollers were approached by a resident in front of 2577 Summit who advised of an open structure in the area. The resident advised that they had already contacted CPD and requested that the patrollers stay on the scene. CPD Cars 9031, 31, 32, 33, 34 and K9-2 arrived on the scene. Three males began leaving the area. One of the suspects was placed under arrest. The other two left the area before they could be questioned or apprehended. A short time later, the patrollers located a firearm that was possibly dropped by one of the suspects out of this call. The patrollers turned the firearm over to CPD Car 9031.
Patrollers came across a male lying in the middle of the roadway in front of 95 Chittenden. CPD Car 9040 was notified of the situation. CPD Cars 9040, 9030, 30 and 48 responded to the scene. CPD Car 9040 escorted the male home. No further action was taken.

Patrollers were approached by a possibly intoxicated male requesting medical attention in the area of Town and McDowell. The Columbus Fire Department was notified. CFD Medic 25 and CPD Car 9081 responded the scene. Responding units contacted Net Care. Net Care responded to the area and transported the male to their facility. No further action was taken.
Patrollers reported an fight involving two females in front of 777 W. State. Mount Carmel security was notified. Mount Carmel security responded to the scene, and diffused the situation. No further action was taken.
